Arctic Char is similar in flavor to freshwater trout, yet sweeter and higher in heart-healthy Omega 3's. Char is a cold water fish best described as a beautiful blend between salmon and trout. A layer of fat located between the skin and meat makes this fish a perfect candidate for smoking. As the filets are hot smoked, some of the Omega-3-laden fat is absorbed into the meat, resulting in an unbelievably moist and tender product. These filets will melt in your mouth! As always, they are preservative-free and just delicious.
