Sweet & Smoky Duck Crostini with Cherry and Fresh Berries

For those looking to impress with minimal prep, this smoked duck crostini recipe is both elegant and easy to make. Featuring Sugartown Smoked Foods’ perfectly sliced smoked duck breast, this appetizer layers warm, smoky flavors with a sweet cherry spread and fresh berries for an elevated bite.

Ingredients:

Sugartown Smoked Foods Smoked Duck Breast – thinly sliced

Sour Cherry Spread –  (or your favorite brand)

Fresh Berries – raspberries and blackberries, halved on each

Fresh Chives – finely chopped for garnish

Baguette – sliced into thin rounds for crostini

Butter – for grilling bread

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Bread

Heat a pan over medium heat and add a touch of butter. Grill each slice of baguette for 1-2 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Set aside to cool.

2. Warm the Duck Breast

In a preheated pan, place slices of Sugartown’s smoked duck breast for 30 seconds to 1 minute, just enough to warm and slightly crisp the edges, similar to bacon.

3. Assemble the Crostini

Spread a layer of cherry spread on each grilled baguette slice. Then, place a slice of warmed duck breast on top.

4. Garnish

Add a halved raspberry or blackberry atop the duck breast for a burst of freshness and color. Finish with a sprinkle of finely chopped chives.

5. Serve and Enjoy!

Arrange the crostini on a serving platter, and watch as guests enjoy this perfect blend of smoky, sweet, and fresh flavors.

This appetizer is a great choice for fall gatherings or football season, allowing you to share a taste of gourmet flavors effortlessly!
