Duck Breast Bacon Lettuce and Tomato Sandwich

Duck Breast Bacon Lettuce and Tomato Sandwich

Love bacon?! We're crazy for smoked duck breast bacon. Used similarly, here’s a twist on a historic American sandwich that millions of Americans eat, relish, and love: it’s the BLT (Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato). Now meet your match: the DBLT (Duck Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato).

Sugartown Duck, Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato Sandwich

Yield: 1 Sandwich: 6-7 Sugartown Smoked Bacon slices, 2 Tbsp. Mayo of choice (can use flavored too), two slices of your favorite bread, 2 Tbsp. of duck fat or butter; softened, some lettuce leaves, and two tomato slices.

1- Fairly easy to make, this sandwich warms thin slices of cooked smoked duck breast and cooks in a sauté pan over low-medium heat until the desired texture of bacon.

2- Using duck fat or butter, char the bread to add a layer of love and texture. Brush bread slices with duck fat or softened butter. Cook bread in a pan over medium heat until the fat-brushed sides turn golden brown.

3- Spread 1 Tbsp of mayo of choice on the bottom slice of the sandwich and 1 Tbsp. of mayo on the top slice.

4- Stack sandwich starting with lettuce, tomato, and then duck bacon on top. Slice Duck BLT (DBLT) in half and enjoy.
